In 2020, working with Olympians and elite athletes she founded CoreSkill, delivering online sports education for disadvantaged young people at the height of Covid.
In 2022, she founded Birmingham for Ukraine (birminghamforukraine.org) to help Ukrainian nationals arriving in Birmingham under the Homes for Ukraine Scheme, helping over 580 families find safety and sanctuary across the West Midlands and beyond. She works with Ministers and Officers in the Home Office & MHLuC on integration and settlement. In November 2025 in Parliament, she launched www.ukrainianvoiceuk.org, as the coalition voice of 100,000+ displaced Ukrainains in the UK. This focuses on pathway to settlement as well as longer term housing, mental health and education support, as the protracted was in Ukraine sees no sign of ending.
As an active member of the Jewish community, Simone was Chair of the Board of Governors of King David School, Birmingham between 2019-2024 Vice Chair for 7 previous years and Governor for 13. She performs annually on the violin for Holocaust Memorial Day Commemorations.
As a fundraiser, she has raised many thousands of pounds running multiple marathons for The Lullaby Trust, supporting bereaved parents.
Following the outrageous decision on 16th October 2025 to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from the Europa Cup game against Aston Villa, Simone took it upon herself to reach into Parliament and, together with a tiny group of members of the local Jewish community, work at speed in a forensic and granular manner with Nick Timothy MP, Lord Austin, Lord Mann, Dame Karen Bradley MP and Joani Reid MP, as well as a few key journalists to scrutinise, regain accountability, integrity and transparency of West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council SAG, to act without fear or favour to our community and all communities across the UK. This led to substantial redress through the Home Affairs Select Community Scrutiny, in depth report from Sir Andy Cooke Chief Inspectorate of HMCFRS, Statements from the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood MP and onwards to formal investigations by the Independent Office of Police Conduct, due to report in Summer 2026.
Her exhaustive efforts have had ramifications across the UK to uphold policing by consent. Specifically her involvement has already enabled the recall from recent retirement of highly respected Jewish officer CS Mat Shaer, the decision on alignment to the MET & GMP on the banning of certain antisemitic chants in demonstrations, comprehensive antisemitism training within the Force and beyond.
